It's been a while since my last post and many things have happened in the meantime. The reason for this is first of all because the next day after my last post disaster struck. The .max file I had worked on was corrupted and I couldn't manage to save my last days' work. This is why I had to remake most of the details on the front bumper. I also had to redesign the hood, since it had too many vertices and it was too difficult to control. And while I was at it, I thaught about implementing a new modelling technique which is a combination between box-modelling (often used in car-body design) and mesh editing. All this just to speed-up the work Nevertheless, I'm still not sure exactly how I will pull off all the details and the turning point, when I will have to detach all the components into individual objects is coming. Right now, all the existing components like the doors, the roof, the wings, except for the hood and the front bumper are all part of one single object.
